4MP Salute: Shordie Shordie

Sadly, it seems like every time a Baltimore rapper's success reaches past the local level, he ends up dead, incarcerated or lost in the shuffle. In 2017, up-and-coming star Lor Scoota lost his life to gun violence. Just a year later, Bmore’s Nick Breed, also lost his life in a shooting. Shordie Shordie is the boy who lived and one of the fastest rising rap stars in hip hop. Some say he sounds like 03 Greedo, and you can hear the similarities every now and then, but he's truly one of a kind. His debut solo project, Captain Hook, which he released in 2018, proved to be all hits and no misses, as he filled the tape with insanely melodic jams like Bitchuary (honestly the song of the year), Holidays, Voice Mail and Ungrateful. We hope the former Peso Da Mafia crooner continues to rise out of the trenches. Baltimore got one with Northeast Shordie 2x.
