Queen Bey Takes 38, Happy Bey Day!

Happy Bey day! Good morning to the Hive only as we celebrate the 38th anniversary of Beyonce’s ethereal descent to Earth. Guest contributor and card-carrying Beyoncé stan @nothomegworl did us the honor of compiling her favorite Bey tracks (INPO) to pay homage and reverence to the reigning queen of music.

1. Signs ft. Missy Elliott

First of all, Bey and Missy NEVER miss and this deep cut from her debut solo album, Dangerously In Love, proves the rule. Beyoncé invented the zodiac and that’s just that on that.

2. Speechless

Another timeless banger from DIL. Put this on before sexy time with your boo (s) and call me in the morning.

3. Blow

Do you remember where you were on December 13th, 2013? I do. I was in my bed on that fateful night contemplating if there was any true beauty left in this world when an angel at Parkwood Entertainment gave the OK to change the entire music industry forever and I am eternally grateful. How else would we have got the sauciest Bey track to date???

4. Don’t Hurt Yourself  ft. Jack White

Beyonce and Jack White made a rock song. Nuff said.

5. Kitty Kat

WE DESERVE THE FULL MUSIC VIDEO. I KNOW YOU HAVE IT SOMEWHERE GISELLE, PLEASE!

6. Love Drought

All the think pieces that could have possibly been drafted about the beauty and brilliance of Lemonade have already been published so I’ll spare ya’ll the drama. Just know that Love Drought is THE ONE.

7. Me, Myself, and I

Whew, she sat in her bag on DIL. It might just be my favorite Bey album (please don’t hold me to these comments when we discuss Self-Titled) and this track is one of the top contenders.

8. Upgrade U ft. Jay Z

AUDEMARS PIGUET WATCH, DIMPLES IN YA NECKTIE, HERMES BRIEFCASE, CARTIER TIE CLIPS! SILK LINED BLAZERS, DIAMOND CRÈME FACIALS, VVS CUFFLINKS, SIX. STAR. PENT. SUITES!!!!!!!! YALL HEARD MY BITCH!!!!!

9. Diva

She let us know what time it was a lonnnnnng time ago and her foot hasn’t left our necks since.

10. No Angel

The best song on Beyoncé’s best album. Debate your auntie with the dead eye.

Ultimately, words cannot express the love and admiration I have for this woman as an artist, musician, businesswoman, and citizen of the world. Beyoncé is the standard and constantly raises the bar for excellence. She is a living testament to the heights that your talents can take you when you combine them with hard work, dedication, humility, and graciousness.

Happy birthday, Bey.

From all of us.
