10. Utah Jazz Donovan Mitchell, Adidas Dame 4
The Adidas Dame 4’s took over the league in 2017-18. This is one of the several custom Dame 4 colorways rising Jazz star Spida Mitchell’s worn during the 2018 NBA Playoffs.
9. Indiana Pacers Lance Stephenson, Air Jordan IX (Space Jam)
Since Stephenson kicked the nostalgic And 1s to the curb, he’s made it a point to come for the NBA’s sneaker crown, a title that currently resides with Houston’s P.J. Tucker. “Born Ready's” playoff rotation has been nuts so far.
8. Philadelphia 76ers Amir Johnson, Nike Kyrie 4 (The Moment) PE
Amir Johnson’s a player who typically donns extreme heat when he hits the floor. Here’s the 76ers big man in the Nike Kyrie 4 (The Moment) with some ill Street Fighter custom art. Design should improve your overall player rating by 5+ (results may vary).
7. Toronto Raptors DeMar DeRozan, Nike Kobe 1 Protro (UNDFTD)
Gotta salute Nike for doing the damn thing and re-releasing the Kobe 1. Protro was blessed with Nike’s new technology, which reduces weight and helps performance. DeMar DeRozan, who is notorious for his endless Kobe rotation, rocked one of three colorways that dropped in the limited Undefeated collab against the Wizards in Game 3.
6. Philadelphia 76ers Robert Covington, Nike Hyperdunk 2017 Low PE
Covington received tons of love for his custom Hyperdunk 2017 Low featuring Mortal Kombat legend, Raiden. Salute to the artist for this incredible work, his price just went up.
5. Houston Rockets Joe Johnson, Air Jordan XVIII (Toro)
Newly acquired Rocket and Jordan Brand’s very own Joe Johnson has to be hyped about rockin’ red Js in H-tine. He wore the Toro 18's pregame Game 1 against the Timberwolves. No other words need to be said about that premium ante rojo (red suede).
4. Boston Cetlics Jayson Tatum, Nike Kyrie 3 (Mamba Mentality Bruce Lee)
Stepping out of the muse box in Oregon, Kyrie designers dropped this hot colorway inspired by Kobe's Bruce Lee models. Here’s Boston teammate, Jayson Tatum showing them off at TD Garden vs. Drew Bledsoe’s Bucks. Hella detail, this 2017 drop is a personal favorite of mine.
3. Boston Celtics Terry Rozier, Nike Kobe A.D. Mid (Scary Terry) PE
The Kobe A.D. has been a go to for Nike hoopers all 2017-18. One of the top backup PGs in the league, No. 12 plays with the edge many lack. His play has garnered him a few nicknames, "Scary Terry" and my personal creation, "The BloodHound". Fully embracing his nickname, Rozier expresses himself with some of the toughest custom art I've seen on a performance-basketball shoe.
2. Washington Wizards John Wall, Adidas Crazy BYW X
Adidas hoops resurrected, making a huge splash over the last few years following a tough period. The Crazy BYW is one of the newer and more innovative models that hit retailers not long ago. Inspired from the late 90s Kobe Crazy 8, the Crazy BYW X is the new-school version with 2018 flavor, including a boost cushioning system (a component that has earned Adidas boatloads of duckets over the last two years). Adidas-kick endorsee, John Wall returned home to team Adidas after a short hiatus and is back with the eye-popping "Wall Way" customs.
1. Cleveland Cavaliers LeBron James, Nike Lebron 15 (BB4)
Personally not a huge fan of LeBron’s signature sneaker because the design is typically bulkier/heavier than my preference, but Nike won with the LeBron 15. For the 15th signature, Nike birthed a new iteration of Flyknit called BattleKnit, which was built to withstand the rigors of King James’ play despite being lighter than the norm. Gotta give it up to the design team in Beaverton for their creativity with the colorways and Nike throwback inspired designs (which stole my heart). We haven't seen anything like this!
On Court Sneaker Crown belongs to...
Houston Rockets, PJ Tucker
It’s only right the undisputed on-court sneaker god, PJ Tucker has his own section on my list. Last Week, rapper Sheck Wes dropped a sneak preview of the Jumpman x Travi$ Scott collab featuring the Cactus Jack colorway, which combines a powder blue suede with black/red accents, creating one of the iciest IV's to drop this year. If you want a pair and aren't close with Cactus Jack himself, prepare yourself for the intense online bot battling because you’ll probably have a solid 10-15 min before they sell out. Take a guess who was the first hooper in the L to sport em’….. Here are a few other extremely rare kicks Tucker’s pulled out of the vault early on in the playoffs.
